Social engineering is the art of manipulating people. By manipulating people the give their private and secret information to us. This type of engineering is used when special agents of police want to get any information from a criminal.
There are two types of Social Engineering.
1. Social engineering (political
science)- In this engineering we influence society on a large scale.
2. Social engineering (security)- This type of social engineering is used for obtaining confidential information by manipulating and/or deceiving people.
Criminals also use social engineering for hiding the information which they do not want to share.
We can ask any security professional how they use social engineering for security purposes. Security is all about what can harm us and how to save our self from those causes.
